We're trialling a new database called AgeInfo. It's an information service about old age and ageing that is provided by the Library and Information Service of the Centre for Policy on Ageing.

AgeInfo provides the following searchable databases:

  • A bibliographic database of over 40,000 books, articles and reports from the specialist collection on Social Gerontology held at the Centre for Policy on Ageing
  • Detailed information about 4,000+ organisations active in the field of 'Old Age' and 'Ageing' from the United Kingdom, Europe and World-Wide
  • An international calender of events listing courses, conferences, meetings, training sessions and other events soon to take place in the field of 'Ageing' and 'Old Age'

Access is via our Trial Database page (http://www.qmu.ac.uk/lb/TrialDatabases.htm) where you will find details of the username and password that is required. The trial is available till the end of May 2008.

Have a go and see what you think. Please email Mary Alice Monaghan at mamonaghan@qmu.ac.uk or Barbara Houston at bhouston@qmu.ac.uk with any feedback.
